Samsung Galaxy Note 3 neo: How to Take a Screenshot

Taking a screenshot on the Galaxy Note 3 is pretty simple and there are three ways of doing it. Fortunately you don’t need an app or root access to take a screenshot, because it comes with two ways of doing it our of the box. One method requires you to swipe the screen with your hand while the other one requires the S Pen. Along with those, you can also use the stock Android feature, which uses a combination of buttons.

While you can find it a bit difficult to take the screenshot with your hand, using the S Pen is really simple and we recommend you the latter. In this article we will teach you how to take a screenshot by using all three methods and we also took photos so you can see how it’s done and understand it better.
Palm swipe

In order to take the screenshot with palm swipe, you will have to activate it first in your Galaxy Note 3’s settings. In order to do so, head over to Settings > Motion > Hand Motion and check Palm Swipe to Capture.

Once you activate the Palm Swipe feature, you will have to move your palm from the left to the right of your screen pretty fast. As we’ve told you before, it can be a bit difficult and it will take you a while until you get used to it. If you don’t manage to do it, try the other two methods, because they are much easier.

You should also take a look at the image above to understand how it’s done.
Button combo

The button combo is the only one that works out of the box, without requiring you to change any settings. In order to take a screenshot by using this feature, you will have to hold the Power and Home buttons simultaneously. Make sure you press them both at once, because you might either turn your screen off or exit to the homescreen otherwise.

Take a look at our photo to see how you have to do it.
S Pen

This is probably the easiest way of taking a screenshot on your Galaxy Note 3. You have to hold the S Pen’s button and tap the screen twice. We recommend you to use this method, as it’s definitely the easiest one. Take a look at the images above to see how we’re doing it.
How to edit the screenshot

After you take the screenshot on your Note 3, the phone automatically enters the editor, which allows you to edit it and share it. Using it is straightforward and you don’t need a third-party app, as this is a built-in feature. You can either do some basic editing, crop it or share it by using the button in the top right side.
